You could say that the zero-energy house in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is for the birds. Designed by the architects of Graft Lab, based in Berlin, a modern and sustainable Bird Island is an urban renewal project consisting of a bamboo frame wrapped in eye-catching green glass cloth silicone from sustainable sources out of the structure swaying in the wind, while residents of a single fly and constantly changing as the cock of the sky. Apart from looking totally cool, modern structure that reflects sunlight and stores prevents the absorption of heat inside, keeping a comfortable life passively. A system for recycling gray water allows the use of environmental awareness and water reuse. Bird Island was designed as part of the YTL Green Homes Competition, which challenged eight international architects and designers to put their strong ideas more environmentally friendly action.
